Omayra La Bella’s Summer Travel Beauty Tips

After a long winter and short spring season, you finally have your sights set on taking that great summer vacation. Whether you are flying to a tropical destination or taking a much-needed staycation, do as I do and never leave home without your beauty “must-haves.” Our beauty routine should not change because we are out of our normal element. All it takes is to make a few necessary adjustments to keep yourself looking and feeling beautiful while traveling. These are my top suggestions for keeping up with a beauty regimen while traveling this summer.

1. You must get travel-sized versions of your favorite daily beauty products! Find TSA-approved sizes of your go-to products in the travel area of your preferred convenience shop before your trip. To avoid product clutter in resort bathrooms, pack your skincare and makeup in separate travel cases. .

2. Keep up with your skincare regimen while you are traveling. Facial pads are simple, portable, and useful. Each pad cleanses, exfoliates, and helps even out your complexion with just one swipe; it is ideal for morning and evening skincare routines, as well as in-flight treatment, it is a fantastic way to freshen up, and you will not need to worry about liquids leaking or spilling on your packet possessions. .

3. Air travel can be harsh on your skin, and the recycled air from the plane can make it dry. Give your face some extra tender loving care with a moisturizing sheet mask after a day of traveling. Several mask types are available in the beauty aisle at your local pharmacy. .

4. Fighting those traveling flat hair days, may be the biggest summer beauty struggle for the fine-haired. Bad humidity can collapse your hair in a matter of minutes. Consider skipping a day of washing your hair and instead using a dry shampoo at the roots to add back some volume and the extra oil in your hair will give you more body. .

5.Look for dual use with your traveling products, to save both space and time. Pack items that will go above and beyond, like utilizing your moisturizer after a long flight applied to your hair, can help with flyaway and static hair. .

6. Take advantage of laser hair removal or waxing options. Think about not having to pack your razors, with laser hair removal or waxing, you may enjoy your vacation activities without having to deal with the trouble of shaving before and while you are away. Just think about how much time you will save in the shower alone, not to mention those irritating bumps, stubbles and the itchiness will be a non-issue on vacation.

7. Finally, remember to pack sunscreen!!! This should be a regular part of your morning preparations, especially in the summer when sun protection is so important. I highly recommend applying any SPF 30, because clinical testing has shown it can block UVA and UVB radiation and the mixture is incredibly light for daily usage. Make sure to apply whole-body sunscreen before leaving for the day and bring it with you. It is important to reapply every few hours and more if you are enjoying water activities. Always pack some aloe just in case you end up getting a little more sun than you intended, it is a great remedy for sunburn and wound healing.

By far the most important beauty advice is to drink enough water throughout the day. Staying hydrated is necessary. Think about bringing a reusable water bottle on your trip so you can manage your consumption.

Your additional bikini or brand-new pair of shoes will fit in your luggage if you can reduce the number and size of beauty essentials you need to pack. Save time this summer travel by not checking additional baggage, bringing only what you need in travel-sized containers, and enjoy your well-earned vacation.

As a traveler, I have learned how to maintain my beauty on the go and hope the tips above can help you do the same.
